Gastritis is also called inflammation of the stomach which causes irritation and erosion in some cases. Gastritis may be caused due to continuous vomiting, stress, or continuous use of medicines.

Symptoms of gastritis may include stomach pain, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, stomach bloating, and blood in the vomit.

Gastritis, if untreated may lead to severe conditions such as stomach ulcers and internal bleeding within the stomach.

Gastritis Recovery Tips

Gastritis is usually a self-recovering state with some minor changes in the diet. In some cases of severe gastritis, some medications are required.

Some pain and cramps experienced in the upper part of the stomach can be relieved with the help of hot water bags.

Gastritis Foods To Eat

The meal plan consists of fresh fruits and vegetables, low-fat, high-fiber foods, moderate carbohydrates, whole grains and cereals, nuts and seeds, and a high-protein diet. Deskinned chicken, fish, and eggs are good sources of proteins.

Drinking at least 3-5 liters of water is compulsory as water helps in relieving stomach bloating and diluting gastric juices in the stomach. Fruits rich in antioxidants such as bananas, papaya, and all kinds of berries can be incorporated into the diet.
